For what it is worth. Finally got up the mast and installed my LED anchor light. It performs as promised. The Link amp meter was showing .1 amps when it is on. A skeptical friend in the anchorage also was impressed by the brightness and now he is shopping for one himself. (we are continually looking to see who can run the engine the least to charge the batteries) If you are trying to save some amps, this seems like a great way to do so. Brian C. s/v CREW REST

Deep Creek Design

Deep creak had a replacement bulb for the Aqua signal that was already installed..So it was an easy replacement... I did some web searches for "anchor light LED" and came up with several matches.. For me it seemed liked the Deep Creek would require the least work/modification. Brian s/v CREW REST

LED Anchor Light...Cockpit light...

I've used various 'solar" yard lights over the years on my boat. For cockpit lighting etc..,but theye were never "bright"enough for an anchor light...but with the new LED solar yardlights, they are bright enough to use as a self powered anchor light and they stay lighted bright all night......I got a nice light, looks very nautical, and rigged it to be hauled up a flag halyard as an anchor light...works great and is self maintaining when I am away from the boat. I have since bought two more, put mounts on the stern rail where they live and charge by themselves...I can quick release them and use them below too orleave them where they are as cockpit lighting...They work great.
