Peggy , I purchased a lectrosan about one year ago. As far as I know it has been working great. I have had conflicting conversations regarding the lectrosan from those who think its great to others who say that it isnt very effective. Where can I find some hard data supporting the effeciveness. Also, a fried who had one said she had heard of a product that when used helped to keep the lectrosan working great . Do you know what that product might be. thanks , Richard

The Lectra/San is VERY effective....
It not only reduces bacteria count to <10/100 ml, but also reduces BOD at least 35%...and is the most environmentally friendly device--far more so than holding tanks.
