Lectra san = bad electrolisis??

My friend has an Irwin 31 with a new Lectra san (just bought the boat) and after his first season, we're seeing very bad electrolisis? Everything is bonded so all his through hulls, rudder shoe, ect have big blotches around them and the boat goes through zincs like crazy. Any suggestions? Thanks Don

I don't think it could be the Lectra/San

At least not unless it's a VERY bad installation...and I'm not sure even that can cause it. I've NEVER heard of a Lectra/San being to blame for electrolysis problems. However, just in case whoever installed the Lectra/San managed to screw it up that badly, a conversation with Vic Willman at Raritan certainly can't hurt. Give him a call at 800-352-5630 x 2. If he's sure that everything is properly grounded, isolated, bonded on the boat, I'd start looking for an external source of the problem--faulty dock wiring or another boat.
