What a nice job! Obviously, your boat is more than just a boat to you and your workmanship shows the care you give it. I, for one, appreciate the tradition of sailing and the art and beauty that sailboats have traditionally reflected. You, udoubtedly, feel the same way. Don't let anyone tell you you have too much time on your hands. Sure beats watching TV all winter.

I do fancy work while other people are watching

TV or just sitting around talking. I have made some nice prolong knot mats for hot pads, have to use cotton for that. Old Pawleys Island hammocks are a good source of raw material.

Brian Toss shows how to tie a turks head around the spoke. It makes a nice finish.

his turk head looks nice around a think spoke, but doing one around thick spokes was beyond me. See my wheel in post #8.

Higgs , you have to go with larger line or

more turns in each leg.. On my life lines I used 1/4 inch line on 7/8 stanchions and life lines. It covered well.
