This is a recent true story of a friend of mine. I met Alan last year. We worked on the same platform together in the Gulf. I would talk about sailing and he would talk about sky diving. Anyway, I live in Tx. and he lived in La. and this year we have not bumped into eachother but kept in touch via telephone. So I call him up about a month or so ago and he tells me he bought a 28' sailboat in somewhere in Tx and is having it shipped to Pensacola, Fl. where he is moving to. I thought it was great. He has never sailed before so we discussed different ways to learn. Im the 'read a lot and just do it' type of person. I called him a few weeks ago to see if his boat arrived yet and where is he answering his phone from? THE BAHAMAS. He hired 2 capts to teach him how to sail and they took him to the Bahamas. How's that for a first time ever sailor? I am trying to talk him into joining this site. I hope he joins this site and reads this post. He is really a neat guy and you would enjoy him. Tony B
I think the degree of offense is in the beholder, Chris. I think Tony's probably grown up enough to share whatever degree of perv mail he wants, as long as it doesn't offend his buddy, and doesn't get intercepted by his office network administrator.
