Hello everyone,
I've been unsuccessfully trying to post photos on here, so I'll post a link to some..Record of my first attempts, that are still ongoing,at working on my boat. I believe it's all prep for later needed skills.
I'd really appreciate advise and suggestions from the more experienced folks on this site. I'm
sort of new at this sailboat thing so I'm always looking to learn something new.
Thanks for all the help I've gotten from reading posts...

Holy cow, Bonzai. You deserve a medal! I can't believe what you've done with that sailboat. I can't even wash and wax my CAR!

What an incredible job you did! Happy sailing...

Tony

Hello Tony,
Thank you for the compliments..I've already had alot of fun sailing this boat on a few different lakes. It does really well so far. I'm looking to make my saltwater debut this fall or winter someplace...still working that out.Probably the Chesapeake Bay or the Gulf of Mexico.
Good sailing to you!....Bonzai

Lancer picture posting.

Maine posted a "before" picture so here is an "after", an amazing amount of work and still unfinished.

You cannot post from "Quick Reply", you must scroll down to the "Attach Files" section. Click on "Upload Pictures" and it opens a new box. Select "Browse" to find the picture on your PC and then "Open" to fill in the Browse window. Then "Upload" and wait a few seconds before closing that window. As I just did to load your picture.

Hi Paul,
I brought the boat home April '08 and put her in the water first of July '08. She's been floating for over a year now. Very different from the C22 I had then.
I have so many things I want to do to the boat I don't suppose one ever gets 'finished" huh?
See you.....Bonzai

Bonzai,
I'd like to take the opportunity to express how much I hate you and people like you. The fact that you got a "project boat" in that condition in April and 4 months later had it in the water looking like it does, by your own hands, makes me very jealous. I hope the fleas of a thousand camels infest your armpits .

What gives you the right to do such an outstanding job and stay focused on the task at hand so well? It's people like you that give people like me a bad name and cause us to constantly come up with excuses. How do you expect me to live with my wife when you do such an outstanding job in such a short amount of time?! You do nothing but provide ammo for my wife to say "...we'll they did it, how come ours is still in the driveway?":cussing:

You should be ashamed of yourself and I vote that your "man-card" be revoked! How can you possibly live with yourself doing something such work that you have every right to be extremely proud of?? What about the rest of us? Did you think about that! I bet not.! :snooty: Shame, shame.

:) Seriously though, I have to say I am very impressed and I would like to thank you for posting your pics! You definitely deserve every joyful moment with her! I can't wait to be posting my completed pics. Thank you very much for the motivation!

P.S. I still hate you though :)

Hi Bonzai,
Great job! I looked at a Lancer several years back; from the flexing of the deck, it would have needed a similar repair job. Like Rock, mine would have sat in the driveway for quite some time.

Congrats and fair winds,

Frank
