Leaky windows

I just bought my Hunter 34.I'm happy with most aspects of the boat and it's in good condition and has been well cared for. Then it rained. The triangular window on the port side leaked leaked badly. In trying to find the source of the leak, I had to remove the exterior plastic trim/frame. It was brittle, broke into pieces and now i have to replace it (I think I found the leak). Can anyone tell me how and/or where I can find such frames? Even better, has anyone found a better way or a better and more durable frame? - Hunter's original looks like a badly chosen cost-cutting measure on an otherwise excellent craft. Any comments?

O Yeah

They started selling h34's in 1983. Over the five year run they continued to make the boat cheaper each year. The 83's had nice heavy aluminum window frames. The mid years had plastic junl. The 87's had NO frames and they just screwed the plastic to the cabin sides. After a few years of ownership the "excellent craft" opinion may change. The rudder will fail, the kell will rust, there will be many more leaks and you will see you get what you pay for. Have fun!
