I have a 1997 Beneteau 461. I've noticed fresh water in the bilge and have been unable to find any leaks in the fresh water delivery system. I suspect a leaking water tank. Has any one else had this issue? What is the best procedure for testing the tanks? What is the ultimate fix?

Swim platform shower

Not sure where in the bilge the water is collecting but I had a similiar problem on my B361, with the water collecting under the engine. Turned out to be caused by a leak in the swim platform shower where the hose connects to the shower head. I replaced the shower head and it solved the problem. Other strong possibilities are the hot water tank or it's relief valve. Good luck Mike

Fresh Water Leakiness

John, A tiny, lower inaccessible crack in my Oceanis 390 plastic port aft tank had been repaired badly by a previous owner. I first drained all tanks and then filled each of the three tanks one by one. Pulled every floor board. Checked the bilge area in between each filling. Soon found the tank culprit and one union. Removed the tank, had it plastic-welded properly, gently tightened a loose union and presto!!!! no more swimming pool under the sole. Javexed all the tanks. I am totally anal about a dry bilge. A wet bilge is a sign of a damp mind. Good luck, Capn. Pete

Leaks in integral tanks

I have found it very difficult to repair leaks in integral tanks. Has anyone done this sucessfully? I am thinking of inserting a flexible tank instead. Has anyone done this? If so what make did you use?
