I have a Hunter 25.5 1985 vintage. She's in great shape but I have a leak in the top. This is a pop up top. There are two channels where the main hatch slides back in and there are weep holes aft on both sides of these channels. This is where the water comes in. The only place I can see where water might come in is where the teak rails are mounted to the top with surface flush screws. There appears to be ample caulk around the screws and where the rails contact the top. Where is the water comming in and what can I do? Joe jelko@commscope.com

Joe, from similar

experience on my C-22 w/ pop top, I suggest that you check to see if the screws are bedded. I found that to be the problem on my boat. Also, as I removed the old and started to "reseat" the new screws, I found that water had been standing in the grooves between the decking and the trough. BTW, judging from your e-mail address it looks like we are in the same field......jwk@towerconnections.com :)
