I have read several posts regarding drilling weep holes to drain the pop-top, but I am not sure of the proper location. Can anyone tell me if the holes are drilled into the ribs that run along the bootom of the pop-top on either side? These look like the lowest points, but are the ribs hollow? If not is there a better location to drill? Thanks.

Holes

My boat has several small holes along the underside of those ribs. Until I rebedded the teak for the hatch slide it was very annoying to have water dripping all over the dinette and settee. I believe the ribs in my top are hollow. Dan

Drain Holes

That is where I drilled mine and that worked fine. I found that the water seems to be mostly entering thru the screw hole that holds the rubber bumper in place for the sliding hatch cover. I removed the bumper and glued a piece of rubber hose to the end of the channel to act as the bumper. I believe that the hatch was continualy loosening that screw when it was slid all the way forward. Of course I plugged the old screw hole and also rebedded all the screws that held the wood strips holding the hatch in place. Did the trick. Don 25.5 Hunter Maverick
