I have a leak in my oil line that connects to the side of the engine goes around the front of the engine and reconnects next to the oil filter. I called the local yanmar dealer and they want me to send a picture of the line. They are not positive of what I am talking about. I don't have the owners manual or info like that. I do know it is a 1gm10c yanmar. That is what it says on the side of the engine. The serial number is 0111. I don't even know what year it is.
I was talking to a friend and he suggested to make a oil line out of a piece of thick hose. Could this be done? If someone knows how to do this I would appreciate it. If I go through Yanmar I know that it will be expensive. If it could be done with a thick hose it might last longer too. The pipe looks like it just rusted through. It might be an original. I don't know.
