Has anyone ever worked on a leaky Oday 19? I know the part of the leak is around the screws that hold the keel in place, so I got some marine grade silicone and tried to repair it. At first it seemed to work but I am back to having to bail 8-10 gallons before going for a sail. I am about to cut some of the fiberglass out around the keel area and get a good view of the nuts that the screws turn into. If anybody has had this problem and found a solution I would appreciate any tips on how to go about it.

The O'DAY 19 (1979-84) only came as a centerboard version, Is this perhaps a RHODES 19 keel-version, or perhaps a MARINER keel-version? Both had same hull and used the same keel, so the answer should be basically the same for either. I don't know enough about the keels on these boats to answer, but will try to offer advice if asked.
