Searching the post doesn't show any previous items for my issue. Forgive me if it's been done and I'm not finding it. I have recently come to own a Widgeon. It's got some miles but is in good sailable condition at present. After sailing about yesterday for just over an hour, I had a troublesome amount of water in the cockpit. It was leaking in, rather steadily, from the centerboard trunk at the point where the lever gasket is. I've yet to do any dissassembley with out seeking advice first. The gasket certainly looks "improvised". Any advice on what to expect, quirks or techniques will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Leak at centerboard gasket

Matt, Give Rudy Nickerson of D&R Marine a call, (508) 644-3001. He's located in Assonet Ma. Rudy bought all the molds from O'Day when they went out of business, and he has all the parts. He is presently having the O'Day Wigeon built, and he is assembling them at his shop. I'm quite sure that he can steer you in the right direction. Joe

The Gem I was digging for.

For the owner of an old Widgeon your response was a virtual holy grail. Thanks from one Yankee sailor to another.
