My 1988 Hunter 33.5 has a leak in the aft cabin. There is no water when the boat is out of the water, but when the boat is launched, the aft cabin is wet from the rudder post to the rear of the boat. The Moorings removed the rudder, made some repairs and thought the problem was fixed. Has anyone ever had this problem before We have had the quadrant removed and resealed and the rudder removed and resealed; so I am out of ideas! Please let me hear your ideas!!! Thanks, bugsboat

Hole for Wiring to Helm?

Where the wiring to the helm goes through the fiberglass - from the base of the pedestal to the inside of the boat - is a good place to get water inside. The water follows down the wires and on into the inside. One idea. Fix: gob on sealant around and inbetween the wires where they go through the fiberglass.

leak

It must be the angle that the boat sits when on the hard is different from when afloat. Don't know if that helps but its a clue anyway.

33.5 Leak

Have you checked the seal between the deck and the hull around the walkthru transom. Mine was leaking there. It took a lot of 5200 to fill the gap.
