My 30 vintage 30 has issues with leaks along the toe rail or possibly the stations. It appears my bolts are carriage bolts. Assuming the rail was designed for them and this wasn't a PO's handiwork it should make tightening them easier. Has anyone else seen this. She is a 77.

Really?! A bolt with a smooth head and a square shank under it? I guess you could hammer one of those into the aluminum so the bolt would not turn. Wonder how many $$$ for 148 stainless carriage bolts?
Ed double checked and yup stainless steel carriage bolts. The only place I have screws with a Phillips pattern is the rail a cross the stern.
