Leaks from the portlights

I know many of you have had the same problem,water leaks when it rains from the salon portlights,so my question is:How did you fix this problem.Is it the gaskets in the Beckson portlights,or is it something else?ThanksPaul

Here's what worked for me. Make sure the gasket and mating surface are both clean. Apply vaseline liberally to the gasket. Dog down (not too tight.) Observe after a soaking rain.

Try Richs option first.

Paul:I would try Rich's option first. This is cheap and if it works you are done.The next option is to purchase new gasket material. Do you know that you have Beckson Ports? Most are Bomar/Gray. Anyway, you can get the gasket material from Thrifty Marine at about $1.25/ft.
