So far I have gotten this far and now to remove frozen bearing on shaft
and thinking maybe try hack saw blade to cut part of it or a shop to press it off
but don’t know which way to go but will try hack saw as soon after I take a rest
so my back and legs don’t start with too much pain,bad backs are a bitch.

Press it off. A hacksaw blade will likely damage the shaft. If you don't have a press, improvise. Or hold the small diameter end of the shaft on a block of wood and tap on the bearing with a hammer. Once on one side then once on the other side to work it down. You may need to first soak it with penetrating oil.

You could also put it in an oven (set at 360 degrees) then take it to your wood block and hammer while it is hot. The bearing is larger diameter than the shaft so thermal expansion will make it expand bigger than the shaft reducing the interference fit.

Well been thinking of how to press it off and would only cut with hack saw part way and than try splitting it but rest for a little and than try pressing some how with my large vise or wood and hammer.

Wholly smokes got it off and had a piece of pvc the right size and added more blaster and did add heat with small torch and it cname off easy and surprised.
Now just got email my new parts are shipped and can’t wait and more work rebidding and hope everything goes back together with out too much trouble.

When you press the new bearing on, use a smaller piece of pipe and only press the inner race. If you press on the outer race (like you removed it) you risk driving the balls into the races and messing up the bearing. I learned this from rebuilding lots of 4 speed transmissions. But, you probably knew that.

Thanks and will be cleaning every thing up and need to clean the shaft with real fine emery paper (fine sand paper)
and remembering how everything goes back together ????.

Yes just don't score the shaft. Pack with lots of grease and don't lose the small dowel pins that goes to the drum hub key slots. Enjoy
Ps: or maybe yours doesn't have the dowel pins key

Yes has 4 dowel pins and 2 C clips and lots of parts and looks like your photo’s
I did need to clean the shaft with emery light sand paper and did need to also clean up
the long key way.
I did not always know what to do so had the thing in vise but no problem using lightsand paper on key way and shaft.
I will use supergrease on all parts and pack under the drum before putting everything back together.

Was that the lewmar windlass that came with your 36? What model was it and where did you get the parts? I think mine is in need of servicing...

Yes it is the Sprint Atlantic that came with my boat and got the info website@slspsres.co.uk
and they sell a kit with the seal bearing and clips,should be coming I hope next week,the hard part was taking the windlass a part for sure.
