Leaking windlass

Any tips on taking my windlass a part to replace the wiper seal on my2007 H-36
I remember some one mentioning they did this so any heads up tips before I start.

I did striped my windlass for service once many years back. Easy to remove all parts. It's a factory fitted Simpson Lawrence.
Clean up all parts and put multi purpose grease on base plate and shaft to prevent water dripping in to bearings and below.

Yes I have been able to get it to lift. A little to add grease down into
where seal and bearing is but want to lift the whole shaft to replace the wiper seal.
Years ago it leaked just drops and had it the bearing and seal replaced but it has been leaking pretty. bad now and want to add new wiper seal.
Anything I should know taking a part.

What has anybody done this
