Pearson 34 Lake Lanier
I have recently purchased a Pearson 34 1985 model sailboat. It is in excellent condition, but this weekend, when we were staying on the boat and it rained heavily we noticed the fixed ports leaking water. Not a lot but want to rectify before it gets any worse. Has anyone removed the ports on this boat or any pearson and what is the proceedure?

Thanks

AJ

I have the same boat & same problem. Last fall I got the following reply from Beckson Marine:
Yes, we made those fixed ports for Pearson during the ‘80’s – and still make them today. They are our part number PF525-WS(if those are “smoked” Plexiglas lenses) or PF525-WC (if the Plex is clear). They are $303.00 per pair and we carry all the parts to make them up if we don’t have them in stock on the shelf when you decide to order. Your 34’ has 2 pair of these fixed ports – one on port one on starboard – as well as those Beckson opening 4x14’s.

There are several unique issues with Pearson/Beckson port re-installs that I’d be happy to review with you if you have time to give us a call.

I am replacing 4 ports on my 28. Matt is a great guy and is happy to talk you through the process more than worth the time to call.
