Hello, So this past saturday was the first day in the water with a recently purchased Oday 25. Unfortunatly there is a reasonably large leak coming from the hull. ( 1/2 - 1 gallon per hour ). I narrowed it down using sponges and paper towles. The leak seems to be coming from between an arms length fore of the bilge untill the thru hull fittings which are under the v berth and close to the wall near the rear of the v berth. This is the area below the bathroom/vanity. Right now I suspect the thru hulls. They are hard to inspect since they are so close to the v berth wall and the edge of the thru hall nut is actually touching the v berth wall. I guess the question I have is if anybody knows of anything under the bathroom/vanity area floor of the Oday 25 that could be suspect?......Jay

Can you trailer the boat?

Not sure if I can be of help, but on my 1978 25' there are no through hulls below the waterline in the area of the head at all. If you can load the boat onto a trailer you might be able to investigate the cause of the leak. A through hull may have loosened or cracked. Good luck.

Must have been installed by previous owner

My 76 O25 doesn't have a below waterline thru hull in that area. There's one on the starboard hull above waterline for the head sink. Maybe someone installed a thru hull for some other reason....perhaps a knot meter. Regardless, you'll probably have to get it out of the water. Good luck, let us know.....Gary
