Leaking helm cover

Anyone have any issues with leaking helm cover in Catalina 309 - rain fills catchment bowl under cover and drains through hole in side?

Some clarity might help. What is a “helm cover”?
“catchment bowl”?
“hole in side” of what?

Sorry - dropped the ball on this - for a long time! Just noticed. I am talking about the cover at the stern of the boat that goes over the emergency helm - I have tried several covers and they all seem to leak - even ground down the rudder post a bit (a fix suggested by Catalina itself) - to stop it rubbing against cover - still leaks....bowl fills up under cover and then leaks into hull and caused damage to back wall....

We have the exact same issue with same damage to the back wall.
I've now fiited a thicker O Ring with a lot of silicone grease..
Seems to help..

The seal is damaged, replace the O-ring or replace the whole cover with a new one with a better seal.
