Anyone have any issues with leaking helm cover in Catalina 309 - rain fills catchment bowl under cover and drains through hole in side?

Sorry - dropped the ball on this - for a long time! Just noticed. I am talking about the cover at the stern of the boat that goes over the emergency helm - I have tried several covers and they all seem to leak - even ground down the rudder post a bit (a fix suggested by Catalina itself) - to stop it rubbing against cover - still leaks....bowl fills up under cover and then leaks into hull and caused damage to back wall....
The seal is damaged, replace the O-ring or replace the whole cover with a new one with a better seal.
Yes mine leaks too, but the water runs down the rudder post in a way that avoids the rear bulkhead. It's still not great. A new o-ring didn't fix it. Considering adding a drain tube from a (new) hole at the bottom of the "catchment basin" to a (new) exit onto the swim platform, similar to the one for the LP gas tank compartment. But the tube would have to route very near the steering quadrant, so some sort of support bracket would be needed.
