My 37 cutter is dry except for when the motor is running. I have located the leak and it is the (fiberglass mess) through-hull. It looks like it has been a problem because of layers of cloth added over the joint. Has anyone ground the fiberglass through-hull out and added a bronze one. Please let me know thank you all.

Maybe.

Not personally but I know Tom H. did that with his H37C cockpit scupper thru-hulls. There may even be pictures in the Photo Forum. Maybe Tom will see this or you could write him through the Owner's Directory, last name Hadoulias. Only problem that I can think of is size of the exhaust hose. The scupper hoses are smaller than the exhaust hose. That will be a pretty large thru-hull.

Exhaust angle (and the house!)

That exhaust outlet is a pain in the ... I find that the exhaust drives the water back into the cockpit scupper and into the floor under motor power. It may not be a problem on the stock setup where the hoses drop down very low, cross over, then come back up (and gather sand and dirt until they stop up) but if you route them directly like I did, it is a problem. for that reason I plan to add some type of through hull to route it out. I think that if you used something that came straight out it would solve the problem. The glassed in stock scupper outlets are angled forward so that the exhaust is driven right into them. House? (nothing to do with boats, except I plan to have a pond right at the front porch). It's coming along slowly. Work on it every day, bricklayers are there tonight laying rock. I spent the day with a jackhammer breaking out the downstairs bath floor. In design, it was to be a bath for guests and a closet next to a den. After the mother in law broke, and later lost, her leg, she lives with us and needed a handicap bath. Re-design! http://www.geocities.com/rainbow_chaser.geo/house/pond3.html
