leaking coolant

I noticed coolant dripping from the underside of the 2GMF while it is running. What are possible causes and remedies?

Overflow?

Not real familiar with the 2GM but my 2QM has an overflow hose. Like the little hose on the neck of your radiator on the car. It is small and mounted on the back of the heat exchanger where you would never find it. When I look under the diesel after a long spell of motoring there will be a small pool of water. I am pretty sure it is just from pressure in the heat exchanger and a little water gets out.

It can run uphill too.

Tim:As you know water/coolant can even run up hill, so finding the actual leak could take some time.I would start with all the obvious hoses, then you can check out the heat exchanger and the expansion tank. One of the more likely spots may be the water pump. When they start going bad they start leaking.I would think that if it is leaking only when it is running it is probably that pump. Easy enough to R & R.
