While hanging out in my new to me MkII, I noticed during a heavy rain shower (moored at the dock) that water began to trickle down a bolt/ nut on the port side.
Looking further, it appeared to be from a bolt directly under a stanchion, and the water was running down the wood of the shelf, off the bolt.
Dumb question: Do I simply remove life-lines, remove stanchion with wrench and two sets of hands, then re-bed with sikaflex (I really don't want to mess with 5200).
While I'm doing this, during the survey it was pointed out that there were elevated areas of moisture under the bow pulpit (same procedure for that area as well)?
