I am having a leak which is coming out where the chart table light was, and also from where the fixed port light is. I have refitted the port light and it is still the same. What it looks like is that water is leaking in around the first bolt on the handrail where I can see a crack or by the companion way cover where there is another crack and some core rot. Is it likely that water would enter the top then run down the sides on the top of the cabin liner? Has anyone had this problem and fixed it?

It is quite common for leaks to occur at any of the deck hardware mounting locations and the water to run along above the hull liner - only to drip at some distant spot. You can go around and rebed everything or use Captain Tolley's Creaping Crack Cure and hope that you find the leak(s). Some have suggested pressurizing the cabin with an air blower (leaf blower) inserted through a cardboard panel in the companionway and then spray soapy water on the cabin top deck to look for bubbles.
