Hello All; My first post - I am honoured (I know - spelled honored in the U.S. ;) My 33.5 is 1992 vintage. I've had a few leaks over the latter period of my ownership; nothing serious. During the past winter (Vancouver - lots of rain) the boat has developed a really significant leak. The only visible symptom is a pail-full (that's right!) of water nicely contained in the shelf just above the bed cushions at the starboard side of the aft cabin. I get this much water after only 2-3 days of moderate rain. I just can't see how this much water could enter at a stanchion or porthole - all of which seem OK anyway. It's a total mystery. Sure hope someone has fixed this one, has heard of another's solution, or is smart enough to advise me regardless. Thanks - all Hunter Owners! "Arpeggio"

Cables

Had the same exact problem on my 35.5 (in Seattle). Check under the deck plate behind the pedestal, where the throttle and shift cables go into the deck. If it was like mine water from the cockpit would flow right into that hole and soak the starboard side of the aft cabin (a pail full sounds right). I fixed it by wraping the cables in rubber, secured with zip ties and jammed in the hole. Make sure the rubber extends out from the hole a good 3 inches. It makes a good tight fit. Since then I have not had a drop of water in the aft cabin. Good luck
