John,now i see what you're saying-but it's never been a problem with the swingbatten- this weekend, with winds to 24 kts, we had her reefed down a lot and the sail shape, luff and leech tension looked fine. It may be that it's an issue with the stock bedsheets but Doyle used a cross woven cloth that maintains it's shape under load really well. As you furl the sail, it's critical to keep tension on the outhaul to get a tight roll-if you don't, one of the outcomes could well be a loose luff
