I have a 30 ft Catalina tall rig and want to install some lazy jacks. Does anyone have some plans for rigging and parts Ill need to do this? I dont want to give West Marine $300 for what looks like basic parts. Thanks

Skip's Lazy jacks

Here's a site for the setup that I ended up using. They retract when not needed, which is a lot better than those that are always up. If you can splice the lines yourself you can save a ton. I had riggingonly.com do the splicing.

I put a detailed copy of the installation manual

In the boat info section for the Mac 25. It has a listing of all of the parts and how to install. Frank I will add a link when I get home.

Buy it on this website

I purchased the Harkin system through this website. They were considerably cheaper that West Marine. It was very easy to install and works very well.

Ez-Jax

Take a look at www.ezjax.com/ These are 'stowable' and easily made as a DIY project using parachute cord and small Harken 'bullet blocks'. I use such a system with a 440 sq. ft., 9.5 oz. mainsail.
