Lazy Jacks

I am considering installing a home-made lazy jack system next spring on my Sirius 21. I am trying to make my boat as easy to singlehand as possible - and dropping the main is a chore while trying to steer, etc.
Does anyone have any experience with this on the Sirius 21? I have collected generic info from various sources, but the specific dimensions are up to interpretation/experimentation it seems.

Also, several sources have suggested that a system that can be pulled away and stowed will minimize sail chafe wear - your thoughts?

I use a Sail Cradle MK IV from Sailcare on my O'day 26. It stows on the mast when not needed and shock cords hook along the boom when deployed. Works very well. Not too expensive. www.sailcare.com
