Lazorette water ingress during winter storage.

On the 26D/S the lip of the lazorette hatch has a recessed gutter that drains over the transom on the stbd outboard side. My boat's previous owner warned me not to park the boat uncovered on ground that sloped to port. His winter tarp didn't completely cover the stern, so after several months he ended up with his lazorette almost full of water from rain and snow. He didn't know anything was wrong until he found the front of the trailer up in the air from the weight of water in the stern. With only a slight list to port I found some water into the Laz after a particularly heavy rain. I now make sure the boat is never left with a port list. This is an important point when you store a D or S. I don't know if it's an issue with the 26 X or M, or other Macs.
