The point is in NY it is against the LAW and there supposed to ticket the parent much like kids are supposd to wear life jackets till age X

Should we take away parent rights when they allow there children to break the law ? or just only do it if they break a really big law

Laws protecting us from ourselves

If we have laws designed to protect us, they should be to protect us from others, not to protect us from ourselves or from natural hazards. The USA is becoming the least free country on the planet, because we are being protected from ourselves to the extent we cannot do anything, because we might hurt ourselves. Then again, we look for someone to sue when we get hurt doing something risky...

I ALWAYS wear seatbelts in a car, but I don't agree with a law requiring me to. The risk of injury is only to myself. Nor would I expect to sue someone if my airbag broke my nose, for pete's sake. A broken nose is a blessing compared to having my chest crushed by the steering column, or to going through the windshield. Why on earth would someone sue for being injured by an airbag in a massive accident? Then again, lawyers manage to convince someone to sue over spilling hot coffee on themselves. And they win!!! God save us all!

Let Laura Sail.
