As many of you know, there has been significant turmoil around Catalina Yachts throughout 2025, which disrupted the print publication schedule of the Catalina Mainsheet magazine (which is primarily what owner association dues go to support). As a result of this turmoil, there were no Mainsheet issues printed or distributed in 2025.
The publication team at the Catalina Yacht Store is moving forward with a digital‑only magazine under a new name. In a digital format, reliable ad income isn’t guaranteed, therefore the publishers still need the same portion of the owner association dues to cover the digital magazine’s design and layout costs. These issues would not be publicly posted, and access will be restricted to members of the various owner associations, such as the C310-315 International Association. A digital version can also include print‑friendly pages plus links to additional resources and photo galleries—features that aren’t possible in print.
I am now sending out C310-315 IA renewal notices to everyone who's membership expired in 2025. If you are considering joining as a new member, you can find the application form here.
I do understand that not having a printed Mainsheet may be a deal-breaker for some Association members. Even if you are not an Association member, you still have access to this forum which is the primary source for all community questions and answers.
Finally, because of the uncertainty around Catalina (and some other problems), our C310-315 IA web page / membership list updates have fallen very far behind (as many of you have noticed and pointed out). The Commodore and I were working on a potential solution, but we put those plans on hold until we see the impact on our membership numbers of going to a digital-only magazine.
We're excited about the potential of a digital magazine to continue the tradition of sharing knowledge and stories among owners, and we appreciate your thoughtful consideration to joining/renewing a membership in the C310-315 IA.
