Yeah! That is the one. I think I remembered it a little wrong. The one in the Duk works article does not have a boom. That is probably even better if the cockpit clearance is low

As I was shelving Rousmaniere’s book , when I found last years copy of Friendship Sloops yearbook. (Fast little boats from Maine). Good reading and pictures that might give you the urge to adjust the sail plan a little.

Ahoy! This looks like a good thread to post my question.
I have a Grumman 15’ canoe with Grumman sailing rig. The sail is the two spar v- shaped lateen type. Same as the image of blue and white sail in Blackislandben post from 23 Ausust 2020 above. iThe upper spar is hoisted to the top of the mast by a pulley at the top of the mast. The “keeper” at the bottom spar that holds it against the mast has broken off. I’m looking for a simple or more elegant solution than what Grumman originally offered. Not sure what that keeper is called.

With all due respect, I think you should start a new thread. Sounds like you have a lanteen rig, most sailing canoes I've sailed used the lanteen rig. Plus, you really need to post with pictures...
