Lastec Alternators

I just toasted my alternator and it is an older Lastec, model #9135m. I'm trying (in vain) to find any information on the Lastec company on the net. Have they been bought out by someone? Do they still exist and make alternators? Does anyone out there in cyberville have one on their boat? If so what do you think of it, would replace it with another or go with something like, say, a Balmar. Any info appreciated.

correct spelling helps

If I had the correct spelling this would have been easier. Thanks for the advise anyway. Discovered that Lastek makes the alternators for Balmar, the only difference is a white powder coating on the casing and a bunch of $$$. Found a 150 amp, duel output Lastek for under $350, new. Just took the correct spelling and a phone call to the Ultimate Power Company in Ft. Worth Tx. Doug set me up with D & C Truck Electric in Kanses City MO. If you need a replacement alternator give them a call, it will be worth your time.
