I finally got to see my last boat design in the water. You may remember that I had to leave on my cruise to Canada before Barbara's Willard Beach Dory was launched because of an accident at the builder's shop. The boat has been in the garage since hurricane Irene but Barbara got her out today and rowed three miles around to the marina where I'm getting Strider ready for departure.

Nice design Roger. What does she weigh, length, beam. I like the way the bow and stern are up. Should do good in a surf landing? I have a Bolger Nymph actually its called "Ruben's Nymph" and although it has alot of rocker I don't think i could land her in a moderate surf. I would be interested in a stitch and glue layout. DOes she have a sail option? Pat

She is very light, I've forgotten the exact figure but it's about the same as a typical canoe. She should be about as good a surf boat as a 12 footer will ever be.

Clint Chase Boatbuilder is offering her as a stitch and glue kit with CNC cut panels which include very sophisticated scarf joints that insure proper alignment of the planks.

He hasn't gotten the design up on his web site yet but could have a kit to you fairly quickly.
