I have a Hunter 460 with a 110 jib and large main , mixed battens and reinforced struts to the mast and swept back spreaders. Has anyone increased the jib to a 130 +/- and what are the results and shortcomings?
Some did it for mostly racing and some just wanting bigger but you will
need the sail maker come to the boat and make sure it is cut proper size
and not have sheeting it problems.
If and when for some reason I may need a new jib I would go to
a sail maker and make my 110 bigger but only after the sailmaker
made sure it will work easy with out any problems with the mast supports.

I know of five current and previous owners of 460s with maybe 50 years of ownership and none made that modification. But I would like to know your experience if you do it.
