Laptop (Mac) For Chartplotting

My chartplotting questions continue...

I have a Mac (laptop).

How can I use it for chartplotting? Who supplies the maps/charts that will work on a Mac platform?

MAC Enc and Open Cpn both work on the mac...add the charts...good to go

Hey Ducati,

I'm a Mac guy and just for kicks I tried OpenCPN and it seems to work well, even on an old powerbook. The charts are downloaded from NOAA. I hooked up an older Garmin GPS 12 I had and used a keyspan usb to serial adapter to make the connection. I haven't used all the features of the software but it's been quite useful.
