Laminate sole in cabin - Whitish haze water mark

I brought the Life Sling inside to get it out of the sun. I didn’t realize there was a bit of water still in it after the rain. It has left a water mark in the laminate flooring of in the cabin; a whitish haze in the finish. Please see photo

I’ve attempting to dry it out with the air conditioner and a fan - 24 hours now.

Anyone else had this issue; any recommendations.

Try wiping with a microfleece cloth. If that doesn't work try cleaning with a paper towel dampened with rubbing alcohol.

I had one of middle hatch’s leak while I was gone from my boat over 2 months and real bad damage
nothing worked for me and will need to replace so be careful how you try to fix and maybe ask expert
or some one who has had good luck.

Careful with the iron. There is likely a coating of varnish on the sole wood of your boat. A hot iron will destroy the protective coating. Not in a good way.

The iron technique may work on raw wood.

Is it wood veneer or synthetic. I have the same problem with a wood veneer - from heat though. I put a pot of coffee on table top- the heat went through the cloth towel beneath and made it cloudy. I was told to try mayonnaise . Didn't work but didn't hurt it either. It's worth a try.

Thanks Tim

I wanted to provide some feedback on what I’ve attempted. I believe it is the Everwere Flooring

Mico Fiber Cloth - No change
Rubber Alcohol - once it drys, turns white compounding problem.
Hot Iron - nor attempted; concerns about damage

I did try WD 40 to displace moisture. It did help to a point I may leave it alone. You don’t see it unless you’re looking for it.

The problem is now that you know about it, for some inexplicable reason it is just about the only thing you can look at.

It is like it is staring at you. :yikes:
I know the feeling. :banghead:
