Has anybody purchased a laminated main sail for their catalina? I am looking for a new main for my catalina 27T. I like the performance gains that a laminate sail gives but I am not sure if it is the way to go.
When I raced "One Design" in the Catalina 27 fleet in Annapolis all the folks used standard dacron mains and went with the laminate / high tech material for their #1 and #2 head sails. This was because with it's mast head rig the headsail is the engine that drives the boat.
