It's been brutally hot here in OK. Just finished my 7 days graveyard shift rotation at 7:00 a.m. Monday, slept until 2, did some long-overdue yard work, and headed to the lake. Did some maintenance on my bimini then put out about 8:30 p.m. and watched the sun go down and the stars come out. The glow from Owasso and Tulsa silhouetted the southwest shore but far enough away (20 mi.) that the light pollution was minimal. Only boat on the lake, stayed out until 1:00 a.m. Temp about 84, wind in the south at 10 mph, so nice and cool after the hot day.
Makes me want to experience being at sea on a clear moonless night with nothing but the stars, must be spectacular.
