Yeah, I went by a lake north of Raleigh yesterday, was shocked at the lack of water too! Maybe we diverted it to AL and FL!LOL Jack

Down 5 feet
I keep my boat at a marina there. The lake is down about 4-5 feet overall which isn't too bad for sailing, but there are definitely a number of homes with docks that have boat in or over mud! I'm going up to sail tomorrow. Hopefully we get a bit more wind than predicted! One can always be hopeful... Fair winds Pat

Big time drought
We have been under severe drought conditions most of the summer. Most towns and counties are under major water usage restrictions. I'm on a deep well but you can never tell when they will dry up. What we need is some severe weather. some extended tropical storms and rain, rain, rain. I'd almost wish for a hurricane but I have my boat moored at Carolina Beach.
