Today BlueJ and 4 of the 5 First 235s at WYC headed out for a sail and then a raft-up. On the way we were met by another Finot First, a 310. In Robinson Bay BlueJ set anchor in 40 feet of water and the 235s sailed in and rafted up. Drinks, snacks, and laughter followed!

Nicely staged photo!
Ha! Was a 180 degree iPhone panorama. On a rocking boat normally the motion messes up the image. This time it was OK. You can see a bit of distortion on the lake/shore boundary.

It was a great time. I still wish I would have snapped a pic of all spread out sailing back towards the bay. Was asked by a passing other sailor if we were racing. I said "Maybe". ;)

PS: I apparently need a new sail cover. Just noticed mine is the only non-blue one.....

What about the clear cover on the far left (far starboard for the purists)? Clear is a color too, or is it?

Not sure what color that was supposed to be. Hank on headsail needs no cover, but the main has a cloak of UV invisibility. Apparently.

I only see two out of five with blue covers, so not so much the rebel. The teal is distinctive. Great picture and enviable comradery. Looks like a great day.

Beneteau went through a 'green' phase; early 90s when almost all the canvas supplied from them on their boats was green. The even color-coordinated the hull and deck striping.

For over 100 years Beneteau has used a seahorse as a logo. In 2000 Bombardier bought OMC, who owned the Johnson brand. Some pencil-necked lawyer thought that the Beneteau seahorse looked too much like the basicly dead Johnson horse logo. So an injunction made them change logos in the USA to the scripted ‘B’. Karma comes full circle, Johnson finally dies in 2007 and Beneteau says screw you and revives the seahorse in the USA.
