They have a championship race scheduled for tomorrow. I am not a member of their club and really is not my bag ,but you might like to know they exist and that there is plenty of sailing activity there.

Thanks, Drifter.....we saw the sign off of rt. 63 but couldn't find it. After reading the directions, I see why. Wonder if they need crews today? Race would be fun.....probably head back over to Stillwater. Wind pretty light again today.
Glad to hear you made it to Lake Martin. Sounds like you were well taken care of while you where there. I was working on a neglected C-25 that is a good boat and she sails OK but needs a lot of work.
I had a great time Drifter. It was the first time sailing for my young co-pilot, who looks to be a convert from powerboats now. We ended up watching the Auburn game at Jakes in Alex City......what a hoot and good food too. Don't spend too much time making that boat pretty, get out and sail it. You'll be in good sailing company with the group at Harbor Pointe. fair winds
They mentioned that. A literal "free for all" between Memorial Day and Labor Day. But a sailor's paradise (except the low water and wind shadows) the rest of the year. I am looking for a winter retreat when our water here on the Great Lakes is "too hard"
