Hi,
we are over in laconia, nh and are thinking of taking our oday 22 over to vt/ny and sailing a few days in lake champlain. any thoughts on where to put in, campsites that we could dock at, best spots for sailing. we are fairly green and new to sailing and looking to make the most of trailer sailing. all of your comments are appreciated.

Yep, the DAR state park in Vermont and the Champlain Bridge Marina just down the road has transient docking at very reasonable rates: $1.50 per foot per day. www.sayahoy.com ...Mallets Bay is also very nice, eh garyc ;-) I was there just last week visiting Robin Doyle at the International Sailing School.

$33/day is reasonable?

 What's unreasonable?

We haul our 21' over to Colchester, just north of Burlington and launch from the public boat launch and sail in Mallette's Bay, and you can always sail out thru the cut-water if you want to go out onto the big lake.

There is a camp ground near by as well as places to anchor if you want to sleep aboard -unlike NH you can sleep aboard you boat at anchor
