Anyone have any ideas for a companionway steps or ladder?
What I have now is after you step through the companionway and step onto the galley all there is is one step between you and the cabin sole. That might be alright for spring chickens but not the best for aging boomers. I'm thinking of a ladder with two steps.

not so gimble Rich, aka R Bone

Rich,

I have a 26 and the cabin top rails are thru bolted and had little plastic caps that covered the inside holes.

I removed caps, added connecting bolts and then added a inside grab rail. Really helps getting up and down and moving in cabin. Picture in archives somewhere.

So, if you are not so gimble, add additional support.

Yeah Ed, I saw your post on the inside grab rails. Good idea. I bought the coupling nuts and plan on doing the same

sorry rich, i can't picture what you have, mine has a ladder that goes into the salon. I figured yours was sorta the same.
I'll try to post a picture of mine tomorrow.
