Not too long ago there were a series of questions asked and responded to by several of us on the HOW about L.E.D.(light emitting diode) lights for use as low wattage replacements for interior lights, anchor lights, and running lights. They are available in several colors. I understand that they are unofficially approved for use in anchor light fixtures on sailing vessels of under 20 meters in length with the requirement of 2 mile visibility.
