I have four Kyocera solar panels purchased in 2009. This year during winter lay-up I noticed most of the junction box screws had disintegrating plastic around the threaded inserts which hold the boxes closed. The Kyocera engineer indicates that this cracking is caused by using Boeshield spray on the screws and that the "petroleum carrier", if not wiped off, will attack the plastic of the junction box. I am waiting to see what help Kyocera offers as the panels are beyond warranty. Anyone else have similar issues?

I had one similar issue but the panel was in warranty. Kyocera stood behind it without issue. I had used DeoxIT spray to protect the terminals and got the same answer. I suspect it is just an issue with one of their j-box suppliers as I have never had a single other case......
