Practical Sailor, in their February issue, has a comparison of electric heads.

Of special note to all of us are the sources they cite for good DIY plumbing help: Peggie's book, Get Rid of Boat Odors: A Boat Owner’s Guide to Marine Sanitation Systems and Other Sources of Aggravation and Odor, and some other book by a guy named Calder.

As most of you know, Peggie has hosted a forum here for many years, The Head Mistress. Many of us on the site have learned a lot from her non-nonsense approach.

Congrats Peggie, for achieving icon status in the marine world!

I've been flushing with fresh water for years now after re plumbing the toilet feed to the sink drain so after you wash up your flushing with soapy fresh water and no odors in the head....I learned a lot from that book
Also in the land of the sun and sea we don't flush for pee

Do you have, or can you take, any high resolution photos of that replumbing job? If so, I can really use some...wide angle and details.

And btw..."gray" water isn't the best choice for toilet flushing due to soap scum, dirt, body oils etc that aren't good for the toilet pump innards. Use only clean fresh water...which you only need to use to rinse the sea water out of the system.
