Once again, the Edson folks have shown a high level of responsiveness and helpfulness. Quick answer and parts to a tech question about my throttle lever that keeps creeping back. Wish more companies were like these guys!

What was their response, since mine has a little creep as well?

When I rebuilt the pedestal on my Catalina 30 last year Edson tech support and parts department were 1st class all the way. :dancing:

I have now replaced that bushing, a bit tricky and time consuming, but it did not help. Now Edson tells me that on my boat the friction adjuster on the bushing really does not keep the handle from moving back and preventing de-throttling so to speak, but merely to put some side to side tension on the handle so it does not move laterally. What they are saying to do is to put a wire rope clamp on the engine end of the cable, this crimping and providing resistance. Wish I had known that as I wasted a good hour of tricky work time. Soooo...might want to check in with them before you replace that bushing. Hope this helps.

My throttle would also creep back, but I was able to remove the compass from the top of the pedestal (3 screws held it in place), and tighten the tension bolt a bit. Now throttle stays put.
